Pillar: No-Code OSS
From Device Provisioning to Service Orchestration
Learn the comprehensive set of tools for the orchestration and provisioning of different devices and technologies that Intraway offers MSOs.
For almost two decades, Intraway Provisioning Suite (IPS) has been offering Multiple System Operators (MSOs) a comprehensive set of tools for the orchestration and provisioning of different devices and technologies: DOCSIS, PacketCable, SIP, and TV.
Whether you are looking to increase agility through automation, modernize your operations or embrace digital transformation, Symphonica has you covered.
IPS offers great dynamism in the configurations required for the homologation of different vendors and devices through many modules and features that simplify the operation and unleash the network capabilities of the MSO. IPS covers topics related to provisioning, elements network management, and interaction with external systems and network elements.
The main functionalities presented by IPS are:
- Provisioning DOCSIS.
- Provisioning PacketCable.
- Provisioning TV.
- Provisioning SIP.
- Firmware Management.
- Captive portal for Messaging and Navigation Control.
- Management of services and clients.
The constant evolution and raising of new technologies present challenges and opportunities to the MSOs and Intraway. Intraway is committed to taking advantage of these opportunities and helping every MSO grow and operate better and efficiently. Many of these challenges are based on the large number of different technologies found for service provisioning. Among them are changes for cloud architecture, microservices architectures, and the improvements that can be made in the business, oriented to improve the management and administration of cross components for different technologies.
Device Provisioning Evolution
DOCSIS Evolution is not intended to rewrite IPS but to work on the necessary components to meet the different provisioning flows most efficiently.
Intraway has been working to decouple IPS modules, modularize components of the platform, allow independent management, remove dependencies, and speed up development and deployment, being agnostic to each of the technologies.
As part of modularizing the components of IPS, several features have already become independent modules. Thus we have the Firmware Upgrade module, an independent solution (AFM) to offer services to different platform devices without considering the provisioning system. A module manages Wi-Fi in the provisioned devices and a Customer Interaction Portal for messaging management to CM and ONT devices.
IPS evolution intends to be based on a 2.0 architecture, which is neither monolithic nor centralized and allows multi-technology interaction with the solution’s different components. It is based on the use of microservices, which allows doing Cloud implementation. It will have components related to DHCP and TFTP services, such as BackEnd components and Web components for managing the platform. It will interconnect with multi-technology valued-added modules (Captive Portal, AFM, Fraud Control).
Service Orchestration
One of the most remarkable changes that the Intraway portfolio presents is Symphonica. Symphonica represents The Future of Dynamic Zero-Touch OSS: No-code Provisioning Automation.
Symphonica’s Design Studio allows new technologies to be added efficiently with BPMN. With an NBI based on TMF641 – Service Orchestration API REST Specification, Symphonica has a standardized API for MSOs to provide any service over any technology.
Likewise, integrating with our evolved Device Provisioning will allow core functionalities to be used for multiple technologies. Within these characteristics, we can find:
- Symphonica SMS for customer and service management.
- Configuration and administration module for DOCSIS and GPON, and other technologies.
- Customer Service Representative (CSR), which is technology agnostic and cloud-based.
- For the reports, a general API is proposed that allows dynamic generation of reports according to the clients’ needs.
Whether you are looking to increase agility through automation, modernize your operations or embrace digital transformation, Symphonica has you covered.
