Liberty Latin America Replaces Legacy Provisioning in 12 Weeks with Symphonica and Unlocks USD 10M in Savings

Miami, FL, [September, 2026] — Liberty Latin America modernized its regional provisioning environment with Symphonica in approximately 12 weeks, establishing a unified cloud-native orchestration foundation across 12 countries, multiple services, vendors, and technologies. The initiative generated USD 10 million in savings while supporting a progressive transition away from legacy provisioning platforms.

The project consolidated provisioning logic previously distributed across more than 15 legacy systems. It supports Triple Play provisioning for Internet, TV, Fixed Voice, and Mobile services, helping Liberty Latin America reduce operational silos, remove duplicated logic, and accelerate the rollout of changes across markets.

Like many multi-country telecom operators, Liberty Latin America managed country-specific workflows, vendors, technologies, and legacy on-premise OSS platforms. This environment created duplicated integrations and operational processes, increased dependency on legacy systems, and made it harder to introduce changes consistently across countries.

Symphonica provided a unified, cloud-native, agentic no-code OSS environment for service orchestration and activation across heterogeneous networks. Through reusable workflows and connectors, catalog-driven service and resource activation, and vendor-agnostic integration, the platform created a common operational foundation while preserving the flexibility required across Liberty Latin America’s markets.

A key component of the modernization was Symphonica MagicNBI, a universal plug-and-play integration layer that connects existing BSS environments with standardized orchestration flows. MagicNBI translates non-standard requests and payloads without requiring a redesign of upstream systems or business processes, enabling OSS modernization without BSS disruption.

“Symphonica is a cloud-native, no-code environment. At Liberty, we migrated 12 markets in 12 weeks. It allows us to control our own destiny: we can configure the platform ourselves, move quickly to meet business requirements, and no longer depend on projects that take many months, many people, and high costs. Any telco project usually takes years. We did it in 12 weeks,” stated Itay Yefet, CIO at Liberty Latin America.

This approach enabled Liberty Latin America to modernize progressively while maintaining operational control.

Key benefits include:

  • No BSS disruption: Existing upstream interfaces and business processes were preserved throughout the modernization journey.
  • Reduced provisioning silos: The platform consolidated fragmented logic and duplicated operational processes across more than 15 legacy systems.
  • Faster change across countries: Reusable multi-country workflows and connectors support more consistent service evolution across markets.
  • Less custom development: Lower dependency on custom code, scripts, and middleware.
  • Greater visibility and traceability: End-to-end monitoring helps teams manage and troubleshoot provisioning processes.
  • Controlled change management: Workflows and connectors are validated before production through controlled QA-to-production promotion.
  • Operational autonomy: Liberty teams can configure, operate, and evolve the solution through governed no-code tools.
  • Future-ready integration: The platform supports standards-aligned evolution toward TM Forum and ODA-aligned APIs, as well as the introduction of new vendors, technologies, and workflows.
  • Foundation for AI-assisted operations: The cloud-native architecture provides a basis for further automation and AI-assisted operations.

The implementation followed a progressive migration model rather than a disruptive, all-at-once replacement program. Legacy data was extracted, transformed, and aligned to the Symphonica catalog; services and resources were loaded through a bulk migration process; and workflows and connectors were validated before production. A stabilization phase supported live troubleshooting and knowledge transfer as the new operating model was introduced.

Liberty Latin America transformation demonstrates that large-scale OSS modernization does not have to mean years of disruptive migration. By combining Symphonica’s agentic no-code OSS with a progressive migration strategy, operators can move away from legacy platforms faster, reduce operational costs, and establish the foundation for more autonomous operations.
