Enabling API-Driven Revenue with Agentic OSS

How Telecom Argentina and Symphonica enable secure, API-driven revenue through Openxpand and GSMA Open Gateway.

TL;DR

How Telecom Argentina and Symphonica enable secure, API-driven revenue through Openxpand and GSMA Open Gateway.

The challenge

Telecom Argentina needed a scalable way to help communication service providers adopt GSMA Open Gateway APIs and monetize network capabilities across the region.

The initiative needed to support secure API delivery while minimizing integration effort and avoiding another layer of vendor lock-in.

The solution

Symphonica became the foundation of Openxpand, a cloud-native venture designed to accelerate end-to-end Open Gateway deployments.

Its AI-powered orchestration, no-code functionality, and multi-tenant architecture let CSPs expose capabilities such as SIM Swap, Number Verification, and Device Location with minimal integration effort.

Results

Operators can adopt standard APIs faster and unlock monetization opportunities in sectors including fintech, transportation, and e-government.

The platform aligns with TM Forum standards and GSMA Open Gateway principles while preserving operational scalability and independence.

Roberto Nobile

"Partnering with Symphonica, we launched a new cloud-native company to support mobile operators in the end-to-end deployment of the GSMA Open Gateway initiative. This venture aims to become the main partner for CSPs across the region to accelerate the monetization of network and data services through standard APIs."
